       “POETIC PREACHIN’ INTRO”

POEM (BRIAN GREER)

WHAT RESEMBLANCE DO WE BEAR GOD, BUT THE CHAINS OF MORTAL FLESH

BORN IN SIN TO DIE IN SPLENDER AT THE FEET OF THE FATHER

WE PROSTRATE AND PRAY TO KNOW SELF IN THE TWILIGHT OF AUTUMN’S KISS

THIS VERY MOMENT, EACH IS AN INTRODUCTION TO THE GLORY OF HIS POWER

BEING AT THE NOW TO EMBRACE THE FUTURE AS LAID BY HIM

TO BE, TO SPEAK, TO PREACH THE WORD OF EVER PRESENCE

MASTERFUL WORDS SPILLED FROM THEIR MOUTHS LIKE

FRAGMENTED AND JAGGED FRACTIONS OF FOREVER, DEVINE FOREVER

THAT FOREVER MAY BE ATTAINED PAST THIS LIFE

THAT IS HIS PROMISE TO THOSE KEEPERS OF HIS FAITH

THROUGH THOUGH THOSE SPEAKERS OF HIS WORDS

MEN ORDAINED AND TOUCHED BY THE POWER

NOT SIMILAR TO ANY POSESSED OR HELL CREATED MY MAN

EVEN IN THE RELIGIOUS CONSTRUCTS OF SOME GODLESS MOTHER’S WOMB

THIS WORD TRAVELS NOT BY FORCE OR BY CHOICE, MORE BY DESTINY

DEVINE IN ITSELF, WORDS READ AND REREAD AND READ ONCE MORE

FOR WHO COULD TIRE OF THE SPLENDER OF HIS WORDS
